Double Ack!
I'm so frustrated! Anyone else, is it just me?
I'm trying so hard to make those last meaningful handmade gifts and I'm about ready to give up.
I just do this EVERY year.
I overestimate my available time.
I underestimate the amount of time it takes to accomplish what I want to do.
And, I almost always get nervous about handmade gift-giving and I feel like I have to RE-DO them to make them acceptable!
Example:
This morning - 3:00 a.m.
Yes, I was up - redoing a felted scarf! What was I thinking??!!
(forgive me Marianne, you've already got the scarf , I had you open it, yes - it was still wet, and I DID already tell you the story of your scarf.)
I've still got blocks and blocks to do (and I really am unhappy with the results - NEVER change your mind whilst in the middle of making things ladies!)
I'm so tired I forgot to go pick up the photos I need to finish the blocks. Well, all in the name of trying to give more heart to the ones I love. Time to get back to work and keep on trying.

Take a deep breath, Amy!! It will be okay!!
I'm sure your scarf is wonderful. It will get done, it always does, doesn't it?
Merry Christmas!
I'm right there with you Amy. I had the boys make scarves for their teachers and I decided to re-felt them because I didn't think they put enough elbow grease into it. BTW, you are always welcome to come visit and play in my studio. There is a queen size murphy bed right outside the door to the studio just waiting for visitors (hint, hint!)
Merry Christmas!
Amy I am the same way. I have not attempted the scraf yet b/c I am scared I am going to do something wrong.
Anyway, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
Amy I hope all your gifts got done. I just finished all my handmade gifts and it is 3PM on Christmas Eve. I swear I will start earlier next year.
And remember you are always your own worst critic and I am sure everything is beautiful.
AHHHHH! It's over....sigh. Finally! I didn't even have time to post! But I did manage to get my little monsters done in the nick of time! Did you have a good holiday?
Amy, you have always done an excellent job in anything and everything you do. The scarf you made me is the most beautiful one I have ever seen or received. You are a supreme example in so many ways to me and to everyone that knows you. Take time for yourself now. Love you, Marianne
