Crossing my fingers...

I am HOPING that my computer is finally FIXED!

I've been having such troubles since I got a new system and moved to Windows Vista - sheesh!

My computer has been in the shop more than it's been home lately. Talk about crippling! And I thought that ankle surgery was bad! LOL!

So, look foward to some updates here! I'm off to get pictures all set to upload today - I did a Mother's Day mini album done that's kind of a cool idea,

stay tuned...

Okay, before I get the album up (I'll start a new post for that) here are some photos...

My garden! Jason was so wonderful, within 3 hours of us bringing home the boards and supplies he had made my garden boxes! AND... it was in between rain storms! How easy it would have been to just say 'it's raining, let's wait', but no, not my for my boy, he just gets to work and keeps on working until it's done. Way to go Jason!

Lex had to pose too..

... I've got photos of Lex at her Spring School Program, but those are going on her blog :)

Rock Walls, Dirt Devils and Mud

It's going to be so WONDERFUL when we finally get our yard in!

No more 'work until dark and beyond' days.
No more swirling, blinding dirt devils
No more sticky mud

...although I believe the bugs will appear in even thicker droves once there is water around.

Here Brian is, out there, working on the rock wall, after he has already put in a full day of work. Oh, and can you believe it... all these rocks are from our yard! We did not have to import a single one. I swear, our yard is a veneer of dirt over millions of rock.

I tried to take more photos, but the dust (which you can't really see until the flash goes off) is horrendous for getting in your face and I really don't want to ruin my camera with all that. The backyard is seriously 6" of baby-powder fine dust from the backhoe work and the dryness of summer. Until, that is, it rains! Then you can't step out there for the sticky-clay-like adhesion.

Like I said, it will be so nice when it's done!

Originally the contractor was required to have the lawn in before we were moved in. But, being the imperfect world that it is, it's now 2 months later and we are finally getting lawn. Maybe, by Tuesday, I can have pictures of green instead of brown!

Oh, and YES, if you were wondering, that rain photo just below this post, there is less than half an hour difference in the time between these photos! The rain was first too. No, the rain did not last long at all ;(

Rocks, rocks and more rocks, with a few bruises

Half-way finished...

I seriously need to snap a few photos of some pretty impressive bruises Brian has from all these rock walls~

For sure, I'm adding some pages to his scrapbook I'm making for him!

Did I mention that I am (finally) completing a Father's Day Album for this husband of mine that is out there, working on the yard, day after day, after already working over 40 hours a week at his regular job. It's the least I can do. I've just finished a 'Ten things I love about You' spread for him. What a guy!
