Well, it was busy year, a year of many firsts and a few lasts, all in all, a year to remember, cherish and savor ....
January brought our traditional ski vacation
This year Lex learned to ski
and Amber to snowboard
...well kind of...
January also requires a bit of snowmobiling with the grandparents ;)
Lex and Bri are such goofs! I love getting snapshots like this!
In May Justin got a new car. I'm sure Amber was involved in the decision, at least a little bit...
Lexy had her first music recital
And on Mother's Day Jester had kittens :)
By June Lex was taking her first Ferris Wheel ride
and we moved into our new house - take a look at this view!
In July Jason and Thai both made a visit home, albeit separately poor kids. While Jason was in Utah Thai had her first car accident. Now they too have a new car.
Lex learned to swim on our St. George vacation
and by the 24th we had the extended Evans family visiting, which of course always means a trip to the canyon (Fairview) for some fishing
eating
and playing
August found Amy super busy with Storytelling Festival work while Brian took Lex on her first 5k fun run - woot!
Labor Day found all of us but Amy headed to the Idaho/Wyoming border for the annual Yellowstone vacation.
Getting into a new house is not for the weak of heart - or body, Brian tackled the yard, building rock walls, leveling flower beds and making sure we got lawn.
All too soon, Lex started Kindergarten at Challenger, she was more than ready, even if we were not!
She also is a young volunteer at the library!
September brought Jason and Thai back to Utah as Jason finished Flight School and started teaching at UVSC
While Tiffany and Jesse started thier family with thier first baby James
Madeleine and Emma got a new sister, Elizabeth, in October
Amy flew to Tennessee for the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough
By Halloween Lex was portraying a super cute Flapper
And, not ones to let a bit of chilly November weather stop us Lex, Bri and I went to the Zoo for some quality family time.
Jason, never the patient one, applied to Mesaba airlines and, I guess not so surprisingly given his drive and motivation, got the job!
December brings with it a chance to get together with the entire White clan, a time to snap one last photo before Jason leaves for more flight training and, heartbreakingly, Justin and Brian prepare to take off for the war in '08.
